Privacy Policy

This page explains what data I collect when you visit clicknfile.co, why, and what your rights are. If you have questions, email me via /contact.

1. Who I am

ClicknFile is a sole-proprietor business based in France. I build and sell Excel and Google Sheets templates. The contact email for privacy questions is the address listed on the contact page.

2. What I collect

• Contact form data: first name, last name, email, subject and message you submit. Stored via Netlify Forms.
• Newsletter (when you opt in, future): email address. Stored via the email tool I use, only used for the newsletter you signed up for.
• Analytics: anonymized page views via GoatCounter. No cookies, no individual tracking, IP not stored in identifiable form.
• Server logs: Netlify keeps standard server logs (IP, timestamp, requested URL) for diagnostic purposes, typically 30 days.

3. Why I collect it

• Reply to your message when you write to me
• Send you the newsletter you opted into (if any)
• Understand which content and products are popular so I can improve the site
• Detect and prevent abuse

4. Cookies

Netlify may set a single session cookie when you submit the contact form, used only to prevent duplicate submissions. It expires when you close the browser.

5. Who I share data with

• Etsy: when you buy a template, Etsy is the seller of record. They handle payment and apply their own privacy policy.
• Netlify: hosting and form submission storage. GDPR-compliant.
• GoatCounter: analytics provider, EU-based, GDPR-friendly, no cookies.

I do not sell or rent your data. I do not share it with marketing agencies or data brokers.

6. Your rights (GDPR and beyond)

You have the right to:

• Access a copy of the data I hold about you
• Correct incorrect data
• Delete your data (right to be forgotten)
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to specific processing activities
• Withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time (one-click unsubscribe)

To exercise any of these, email me through /contact. I respond within 30 days.

7. Data retention

• Contact form messages: kept until your request is resolved, then archived for up to 2 years.
• Newsletter list: kept while you are subscribed.
• Analytics: aggregated, no individual retention.
• Server logs: about 30 days.

8. Children

The site and products are not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. International transfers

Some service providers (Etsy, parts of Netlify) are based in the United States. I rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable.

10. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy. Material changes will be flagged on the home page or via email if you are on the newsletter. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
